BOIL WATER ADVISORY
City of Dallas Water System’s water main along Old Acworth Road ruptured between Croker Road and Johnny Lane, east of downtown Dallas. This break resulted in significant loss of water and low water pressure to our customers along Old Acworth Road, Croker Road and Rich Osborne Road, between addresses 339 to 399 Old Acworth Road, 100 to 109 Croker Road and 10 – 50 Rich Osborne Road.
Customers in those areas should “boil” all water prior to use for drinking, cooking, or preparing food. The water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil. Citizens should continue to boil their water until they are notified that the water system has been restored to full operation, and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.
The City of Dallas Water System is working to restore pressure in the affected areas, and will sample those areas to affirm that there is no contamination. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division will advise the City of Dallas when the advisory can be lifted.
We appreciate your patience. Please contact the City of Dallas Water System at 770-443-8117 with questions. Please check the Public Notification section on the City of Dallas web page at www.dallasga.gov or contact us at the number above to confirm the status of this advisory.
