Elizabeth McKoon Memorial Park

Mckoon Park in the City of Dallas, Georgia was named after Mary Elizabeth McKoon, 1910-2007.

After retiring as a teacher for twenty-five years, Mrs. McKoon worked as a librarian for twelve years at the Paulding County Public Library. She was a member of the Dallas Garden Club, a past president of the Dallas Woman’s Club, a charter member of the Paulding County Historical Society, a member of Paulding County Retired Educators and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas.

The park has a beautiful fountain with benches for meeting up with friends, or even a place you can come and make new ones. Paulding County Master Gardeners assisted with placement of the beautiful flowers, trees, and landscape design.
