Public Notice – The Mayor and City Council of the City of Dallas, Georgia, together with the Dallas Historic Preservation Commission, will conduct a public hearing at the Dallas Civic Center, 121 East Griffin St., Dallas, Ga., on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 7pm. The purpose of the meeting is to solicit stakeholder input into a proposal to seek National Register listing for Downtown Dallas. The National Register is a list maintained by the Department of the Interior, recording properties that are deemed of sufficient historic character to warrant national recognition, and does not bind the owner to any restrictions. The public is invited to attend and participate. However, due to COVID-19 safety precautions providing adequate space for social distancing, registration is required.
