Open Records Request
Under the Georgia Open Records Act, all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law.
Please be advised that certain records are not releasable under Open Records due to cases being Active/Pending Investigation/Pending Prosecution or incidents with juveniles involved.
When you use the new convenient Open records Request Portal - make sure to pick the Department you are requesting the records from, i.e. the Police Department, Community Development, etc.

- Building permits (Community Development)
- Certificates of occupancy (Community Development)
- Code violations (Marshal)
- Inspection reports (Community Development)
- Site plans/surveys/plats (Community Development)
- Environmental, Street, Water or Sewer (Public Works)
- Utility Services (Utilities)
- Taxes & Business License (Property Tax & Business License)
- Accident reports (Police Department)
- Incident reports (Police Department)
Tips: Don't put personal information, like your social security number in your public request.
