SOCIAL MEDIA TERMS OF USE
City of Dallas Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube
The official social media pages for the City of Dallas are intended to serve as a mechanism for communication between the public and the City on the listed topics, and are designated as a Limited Public Forum to further the mission of the City of Dallas. However, these pages are not the primary method of communication with the City. Any notices or requests for City services must be made via official communication methods identified on the City’s website, dallasga.gov, or by traditional methods of notification recognized by the City.
We encourage members of the public to like or follow our pages, respectfully interact and share ideas as long as they follow the City’s terms of use.
Prior to posting comments on any City Limited Public Forum pages, users must review and agree to the Community Standards of Facebook at Facebook Community Standards and also the Terms of Use of the City of Dallas Facebook page. A submitted comment or posting on any of the social media pages of the City of Dallas shall constitute an acknowledgement and agreement of these standards. The City of Dallas has a right to report violations of Social Media Community Standards to the appropriate Social Media outlet.

OPEN RECORDS
City maintained social media sites and pages are a public forum. Any content posted is subject to public records retention and disclosure pursuant to Georgia open records laws.
All comments posted to any City Facebook site are bound by Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, located at http://www.facebook.com/terms.php, and the City reserves the right to report any violation of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities to Facebook with the intent of Facebook taking appropriate and reasonable responsive action.
These Terms of Use are subject to amendment or modification by the City of Dallas at any time.
