Notice of Proposed Charter Amendment

NOTICE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT

TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF DALLAS

Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Dallas, GA will consider an Ordinance proposed pursuant to O.C.G.A. §36-35-3, to amend the Charter of the City of Dallas to amend Article II Section 2.11, 2.12 and Article V 5.10, 5.11, 5.10 regarding qualifications and elections of Municipal officials, to repeal conflicting ordinances and for other purposes.

The Amendment will be considered at the meeting of the City Council February 3, 2025 at 5:15pm in the Council Chambers of the City of Dallas, 129 E. Memorial Drive, Dallas, GA 30132, and further considered for final adoption at the next regular Council Meeting March 3, 2025 at 5:15pm.

A copy of the proposed Ordinance and Charter Amendment is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Dallas and in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Paulding County, Georgia for the purpose of examination and inspection by the public.
